Since graduating from the University of Washington School of Law in 2002, Brit Mercer has devoted her career to defending individuals accused of crimes and represents people in municipal, district, superior and federal courts. She has significant experience defending DUIs, vehicular assault, vehicular homicide and other criminal traffic violations, domestic violence, serious felony crimes and misdemeanor charges. She has been named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers a dozen times. Brit is “of counsel” at the Seattle law firm of Schroeter Goldmark & Bender, where she handles the criminal defense practice. She has been a featured speaker at numerous CLE presentations for the Washington Defender Association, Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Washington Foundation for Criminal Justice. Her hard work and integrity have earned her the respect of her peers, adversaries and clients. Outside of the courtroom, Brit can usually be found on a horse, and she competes in show jumping competitions both nationally and internationally.
