Christine Jackson Biography

Chris Jackson has been a public defender since 1990 and is currently one of the misdemeanor supervisors at The Defender Association Division of the King County Dept. of Public Defense. Over the years, Chris has represented adults charged with misdemeanors and felonies and clients detained for traditional civil commitment and under the “sexually violent predator” law.” She has handled appeals from misdemeanor convictions, writs of habeas corpus and other extraordinary writs. Chris served as the misdemeanor practice expert in the successful civil rights lawsuit challenging the constitutional adequacy of the public defense systems for the Cities of Burlington and Mt. Vernon.
